Cats & Dogs: The Revenge Of Kitty Galore

Terrance the Trailer Trasher – @

If you ever catch me watching this movie, it means I’m in a vegetative state on life support and it’s time to pull the plug. I guess “Marmaduke” didn’t teach Hollywood a lesson. The real animals in some shots bear no resemblance to their talking puppet doppelgangers. Story looks like a tired spy spoof without the least bit of humor, not even a chuckle-worthy pun in sight. Just a lot of noise and — oh, boy! 3D! As if we’re supposed to have a Pavlovian response to the prospect of wearing those glasses for another hour and a half. To the exec who let this movie get made: Bad dog! No treats for you.

I’d rather watch the trailer for “Ramona And Beezus” 100 times instead of ever having to see this again. I agree with you, I would need to be in a coma to sit through this movie. Of course, I’m afraid that sitting through the movie might induce a coma. Just once I would love to see a “talking dog” movie where the human characters bark at each other.

Unleashed July 30, 2010. You’ve been warned.

Next week we’ll review the trailers for “Middle Men,” about the history of porn on the internet; “The Adjustment Bureau” starring Matt Damon; and Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.”

I didn’t like the first film so I’ll be giving this a miss.
